Ivory Tower is a student-run magazine staffed by undergraduates in a year-long course offered by the English department that annually publishes the very best in undergraduate student fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art. We strive to provide an outlet for those who wish to express themselves creatively and accept work from all undergraduate students, seeking to promote and expose original work by those undergraduate writers and artists across the University of Minnesota campus. Ivory Tower also collaborates with the Weisman Art Museum on ArtWords, an annual writing competition in which University of Minnesota students select a piece of art on display from the Weisman Art Museum’s permanent collection and create an original piece of prose or poetry in response to it.
The launch party is a celebration of the 2017 edition of Ivory Tower, the University of Minnesota’s Undergraduate Art and Literary Magazine. Ivory Tower will be revealing the new edition of the magazine and giving out free copies at the party. The party will also include free food, readings from contributors, guest speakers, and a reveal of the winners of the ArtWords contest.
The launch party will take place on April 26 at the Weisman Art Museum starting at 6:00 p.m.
